Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that there is a need for the centre and the state to work together for Goa’s economic development and employment. Addressing a rally at Panaji in Goa, Mr. Modi said that Goa has been benefited most from the new initiatives of the central governement like visa on arrival and online-visa facility among others, leading to a spurt in the number of tourists.

Slamming the erstwhile UPA government for mismanagement of the state, the Prime Minister said that the NDA governement has done more for the state in the last 25 months than the previous govts in their 50 years.

Election Commission has given a go ahead to the next episode of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann ki baat’ programme to be aired tomorrow. The government had approached the Commission seeking clearance for the regular radio programme as Model Code of Conduct is in force in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur which are going for assembly polls between February 4 and March 8. Our correspondent quoting sources reports, the Commission has now cleared the programme.
